The Yale Whiffenpoofs perform at Muratie

A discovery on the wine.co.za diary that Muratie was hosting the Yale Whiffenpoofs (the oldest collegiate a capella group in the USA - started in 1909) - sent me off to the winelands yesterday afternoon to see them perform, as I have recently started my own A Capella group and having a wonderful time singing together for the love of it. The Yale Whiffenpoofs are Yale undergraduates who get together for a full year and travel around the world singing for their supper! They played to a delighted audience after enjoying what seemed to be a most informative wine tasting with Rijk Melck! You can catch them at the Baxter Theatre tonight (Wed 17th July), as they jet out of South Africa to Bangkok on the next section of their round-the-world trip.
