After a stormy night spent at Doornbosch Guest Farm, we were trepidatious about going to the festival and felt sorry for the mountain bikers and walkers, but on arrival found that there were plenty of crazy active people having done the rides and walks! We we dashed in to the tutored tastings which were most educational. Extreme Terroir - is how Dirk Human describes the Elim climate and we had first hand experience. Howling winds and rain persisted throughout the day. We were fortunate to be inside at the tutored tastings with occasional dashing outside to see what was going on. Horseback archery is not something you see every day so that was a highlight for me!
