This is the 4th year of this inspiring program, instigated by Showcook.com (Annette Kesler & Chania Morrit-Smith). They have partnered with Cape Legends & Distell and many top hotels in the country to train and inspire young chefs & wine waiters. The hotels nominate a wine candidate and a young chef candidate to go up against each other in this competition. Each hotel is matched up with a wine brand and this year some spirits are included. The wine candidates and hotels are matched as follows: Westin with Alto(Maxwell Moyo), The Taj with Allesverloren(Francois Moses), Mt Nelson with Lomond Wines(Edward Mtonga), Radisson Blu Le Vendome with Uitkyk(Yannick Kabwe) and 12 Apostles (our host for the launch/lunch) with Nederburg Heritage Heroes(Alfred Muswaka).
