This is the 4th year of the South African Wine Tasting Championships, arranged by Jean Vincent Ridon; The Finals were held at the Taj Hotel in Cape Town on Sunday 21 August 2016 after 2 provincial heats held in Johannesburg and Cape Town; There were a few Gautengers in the final set of 18 who reached the finals, and in fact they did very well as there were 2 in the Top 5 - making up Team SA; Heidi Kritzinger - first time participant got top marks, with Stephanie Wiid, Anita Streicher-Nel, Dean Ehrlich and Lerato Moleleki taking the next few slots; Jean Vincent usually takes the Top 4 to France to participate in the World Blind Wine Tasting Finals - but the scores need to be audited and we will soon find out who will be joining him in Oct in France
