Top SA Cellar Worker announced for 2016

The SA Cellar Worker program started in 2007, with a few to uplift, inform and transform people's lives. The first year saw 13 workers participate in the program initiated by WineTech and now a collaboration between VinPro and WineTech. Every producer is invited to send their workers to the various study groups arranged throughout the winelands in the year. This year 369 workers are attending the study groups and in talking to some of the cellar workers - they feel empowered and motivated and are growing a passion for wine. The top 3 students in the year make it to the finalist stage and at the SA CellarWorker Day - the top student is honoured and prizes handed over from Nedbank. This year the finalists were Heinrich La Fleur from DGB, Regan Theodore from Vergenoegd and the Winner for 2016 is Ivan Xelelo from Lourensford. Congratulations to all the workers and producers who make the time to further their education.
