I can't believe that the new tasting room at Babylonstoren has been open for a year already! I must say it is always impressive to see what has been done on the farm. The garden walks are one of my favourite things to do with the lovely and informative Gundula! The tasting room is a little way away from the main shop and hotel and is situated next to the vast cellar - housed in a kind of glass box (not dissimilar to the glass conservatory in the garden - also worth a visit), between two Cape Dutch style buildings with interesting tiles and simple cardboard designs. There is still a sense of farm but also clean lines, elegant design and warmth. Well worth a visit.
