Chenin Magic under the moonlight

The Chenin Association is really raising the bar and on Tues 11 April, almost every member of the association showcased their stunning Chenins at the Magic Chenin & Jazz evening at the Grand Beach cafe just outside the Waterfront.  The moon was full, the sea was still, the Chenins were delicious, varied and aplenty.  From bubble Sparklehorse MCC from Ken Forrester, to a range of single-vineyards bottles at Mulderbosch, to wooded and unwooded to Family Reserve from Kleine Zalze to the high altitude chenins from Cederberg and Tierhoek. Of course the Rudera Robusto, the various Breedekloof variations to the stickies from Joostenburg and Beaumont. Simply delicious. What a pity there were not more people there to enjoy this magnificent bounty.

Look out for this event next year and book early - it is now fixed on the calendar at the full moon before Easter - says the King of Chenin - Ken Forrester!
