The first of four sessions of the study groups for Year 2017 took place in Swartland on May 3rd. The cellar workers focused on the use of oak barrels in wine cellars as well as Gewurztraminer and Muscat cultivars. A wine tasting was included in the session. In the second session of the study groups, the focus will continue on the use of oak barrels and Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
