Anthony Fitzhenry founded Qhubeka in 2005 with a clear mission to making a difference in 1 million people's lives in Africa. He is well on his way, as they have already made 90 000 bicycles available across Africa, and as we all know - the ripple effect is enormous and with each bicycle's impact potentially reaching 4 people - this is already impacting positively on 400 000 lives. Nederburg has been supporting Qhubeka now for over 2 years, with a custom bicycle-assembly facility housed at Nederburg in Paarl. One of the recipients of the bicycles is passionate actor, poet and tour guide Siyabonga Mbaba from Ride 2 Empower in Khayelitsha. He offers guided bicycle tours of the township, ensuring that people from all cultures can learn about it each.Team Dimension Data's cycling team is a great supporter of Qhubeka and the current team was introduced to us at a magnificent dinner in Constantia on Tues 13 Nov.Mark Cavendish introduced some of the members personally and he was such a delight with his strong accent and mischievous sense of humour!#bicycleschangelives#wineforgood
