The Stellenbosch Triennale is a massive undertaking. There are at least 6 different venues across the Stellenbosch landscape, including the ON THE CUSP exhibition, curated by Dr Bernard Akoi-Jackson. I was fortunate to be invited to the opening held in Feb - where all the up-and-coming artists exhibiting, were available to chat to. From all across Africa they were selected: Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania and South Africa. The exhibition is on until the end of April and I urge you to take some time to wander through and engage with the pieces, listen to the audio and experience art from our continent, sponsored largely by Distell and Nederburg specifically for the On The Cusp exhibit.
