We had the pleasure of visiting Africa's first and only wine museum situated on the beautiful Babylonstoren estate in the Franschhoek Valley. A modern museum, the space details the origins, cultivation and culture behind mankind's love affair with wine, while encouraging a contemporary narrative of its age-old traditions and social gravitas. It is a visceral and interactive journey through the history and science of wine. A bottle of Constantia desert wine made in 1821, a cinematic vat, and a virtual reality cellar tour are just a few of this museum's incredible highlights.
