#traveltuesday to Cederberg Wines: Great wine and craft beer, best views, hiking, and camping

On a trip to Cederberg Wines to learn more about their conservation efforts, it was difficult not to get enthusiastic about all the ways to experience their efforts to preserve their unique natural environment. Some golden oldies were heard coming from the cellar, it must be a very happy cellar team, busy creating some Cederberg magic with the 2022 harvest. Happy cellar team = happy wines.

  • There's the lovely, natural-looking tasting room - Cederberg is known for their Shiraz and it's always lovely to try their Bukettraube
  • Winter has just kicked off, with very nippy evenings and mornings, but the Sanddrif campsite, also owned and managed by the Nieuwoudt family, looked so inviting that we would have been happy to give up our cottage for a campsite
  • BUT - the guest cottage was perfect, cosy and so well-equipped
  • Activities for nature lovers and the adventurous include day hikes, rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, bird watching, stargazing and swimming in the Matjies River
  • Try their Beer with Attitude - craft beers with witty names like Boggom & Voertsek, they're fun and delicious
