A stone's throw from our offices in Somerset West, lies Flagstone Winery, home to some of our favourite wines. Their range is versatile, pocket-friendly and absolute value for money. For Chardonnay Day, celebrated recently, they held one of their monthly wine pairings, teaming up with a local chef to create something special to pair with their Two Roads Chardonnay and the Poetry Chardonnay. The prawn risotto and Two Roads Chardonnay was lovely and comforting altogether on a coolish autumn day. They are currently renovating their tasting room, but the temporary tasting room (just a few meters away) is a lovely, casual space where you will feel at home while tasting through their range of wines. Try their Poetry range, possibly one of the best value-for-money wine ranges out there. The Music Room Cabernet and Dark Horse Shiraz are some special wines, perfect to enjoy with a special meal this winter.
