I attended the launch of the latest vintage of De Wetshof Limestone Hill Chardonnay on Wednesday 13 July. The event took place at the Wisdom Room at The Silo Hotel, Cape Town. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful venues in the city, The Silo Hotel is located in a building originally built as grain silos. It's since been converted into an art deco hotel that offers dramatic views stretching from Table Mountain to the Table Bay Harbour. At the event, we had the privilege of tasting De Wetshof Limestone Hill 2022 as well as the other Chardonnays in De Wetshof's range, presented by De Wetshof CEO Johann de Wet. The 2022 De Wetshof Limestone Hill emphasises the reputation 2022 is garnering for being a top vintage for white wines in the Cape Winelands. The wine tasting was followed by a delicious three-course lunch catered by The Silo Hotel.
