Harvest Thanksgiving Luncheon at Cathedral Cellar

We celebrated #Harvest2023 on Tuesday 25 April 2023 with a harvest thanksgiving luncheon at Cathedral Cellar at the KWV cellar complex in Paarl. As part of the proceedings, KWV chief viticulturist Marco Ventrello reported on KWV's 2023 harvest, which he described as a vintage "driven by water".

For lunch, Chef Mynhardt Joubert prepared a generous harvest feast for us. His menu includes Italian-style schiacciata bread (made with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes), iconic curried pickled fish, white-wine infused Provençal lamb shanks, and decadent Pinotage chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache and sea salt. Each course was paired with a Cathedral Cellar wine.
