The much-anticipated The Hazendal Hotel and Spa has officially opened its doors following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday 12 October 2023. I was one of the lucky guests to be invited to this fabulous ribbon-cutting event, along with others in the wine, hospitality and tourism industry. Situated on the grounds of Hazendal Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, The Hazendal combines striking modern design elements with historical Cape Dutch architecture to create a lavish new Cape Winelands accommodation establishment. The hotel’s exterior is clean, minimalist, and attractive, making use of traditional whites, blacks, and charcoals to blend in with the existing estate architecture. Juxtaposing the austerity of these colours is an interior featuring bright artworks, natural sky lights, and indoor flower beds. To read the full press release, click HERE.
