Amid the bustle of #Harvest2024, Erica, Jeanine and Mihle visted Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate to see what's happening on the farm. Friedrich von Wielligh, the newly appointed sales manager of Vergenoegd Löw, welcomed us and took us on a tour of the wine cellar. He also showed us a few of the main attractions on the estate: Geuwels Restaurant: This family-friendly restaurant, run by head chef Drikus Brink, offers authentic South African food with a creative approach and cultural influences. Clara's Barn: Located in the oldest barn in the Western Cape, this fine-dining restaurant with a modern South African farm kitchen serves an ever-changing five-course menu with dishes made using authentic family recipes and indigenous produce. Tasting Room: Visitors can taste Vergenoegd Löw’s range of estate-grown wines and do the indigenous tasting in the historic manor house on the estate. The team treated us to a tasting of a few of the top wines of the Vergenoegd Löw Range: Chenin MCC 2022, Sauvignon Blanc 2023, Chardonnay 2022, Lara Cabernet Sauvignon 2021, and Valentina Malbec 2022.
