I popped in at Simonsig in Stellenbosch for my first harvest visit of the season to see how it's going with the Chardonnay picking. I chatted with the new vineyard manager Saul du Plessis and his team, and picked some grapes. Simonsig uses these Chardonnay grapes to make the Kaapse Vonkel and the rest of their Cap Classique wines. The grapes are looking super healthy, aren't they?
