The birthday of South African wine is commemorated annually on 2 February. I joined One&Only Cape Town, in partnership with Wesgro, at their party in celebration of this momentous occasion. The hotel featured a series of exceptional wines from 14 estates, including Kaapzicht, Muratie, Neethlingshof, Rijks, and Simonsig. There was also a feast of culinary delights to pair with the wines on offer. Local band Acoustic Element provided the soundtrack as the sun set and the lights of the city started to twinkle.
