On 1 March 2024, I joined Mulderbosch Vineyards' head winemaker Henry Kotzé and winemaker Morné McGear at the estate for an intimate red wine tasting. Seated in their grand barrel cellar, Henry told us all about their latest developments. We tasted three red wines, and afterwards we were treated to a lavish lunch. We tasted the following three red wines: Mulderbosch Faithful Hound 2022: The wine farm's iconic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Malbec Mulderbosch Estate Blend 2021: A new addition to Mulderbosch's range, this Cabernet Franc-led red blend is the first wine in their 35-year history to be estate-certified Mulderbosch Single Vineyard Cabernet Franc 2020: This 100% Cabernet Franc wine is made from grapes sourced from a vineyard on the Mulderbosch farm
