Nietgegund Wines launched its new tasting centre in style at a grand opening function last week. Nietgegund is owned by Jan Dreyer, a former director of Remgro, who bought the farm in 2000. Since then, he has planted Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc grapes. Their new addition is a state-of-the-art tasting centre that caters for small groups of up to 15 people. At the official opening of the tasting centre, guests were entertained by well-known magician Larry Soffer and upcoming tenor sensation Mziwamadoda Nodlayiya. Guests were also treated to various dishes prepared by the chefs from the neighboring Mont Marie.
