Go Wellington, the revitalised Wellington wine route, invited a group of wine media to re-discover the wines of Wellington over a relaxed luncheon on Thursday, 24 October 2024 at Cole The Eatery, Wellington. The hosts of the media launch were Dirk Vaeye, chairperson of Go Wellington and owner of Dunstone; David Sonnenberg, founder of Diemersfontein; and winemakers from the Wellington region. It was wonderful to catch up with the warmhearted, passionate people over in Wellington. We tasted flights of Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, and Shiraz. The diversity in the lineup of wines was really impressive.
