Cape Wine Academy Diploma Graduation Lunch at 96 Winery Road

What a treat to have a magnificent lunch at 96 Winery Road Restaurant on Saturday, 1 March to celebrate the latest Cape Wine Academy Diploma graduates!

Some took 1 year and some took 5, but it's the journey of experience which most seemed to enjoy! And it was wonderful to have a father and daughter, Barend Botha and Maryke Botha (who was an optometrist and is now a winemaker at Bosman Wines), and a hard-working couple, Mariëtte Stofberg-Coetzee and Gideon Coetzee, getting their certificates. Also unusual to have three winemakers in the group: Samuel Viljoen (Nederburg), Maryke Botha (Bosman Wines), and Mariëtte Stofberg-Coetzee (Le Belle Rebelle).

Congrats to the top performing students:

  • Samantha Blackbeard, who achieved the highest marks in the Diploma tasting exam
  • Mariëtte Stofberg-Coetzee, who achieved the highest marks across the four Diploma theory exams

There was great camaraderie at the celebration. Congratulations to all!
