Kleine Zalze Wines hosted media, sommeliers and other wine enthusiasts on Thursday, 14 August 2025 for a tasting of the much-anticipated fifth release of their Project Z wine range. The experimental Project Z wine range comprises five very different wines, all of which are sourced from distinctive vineyards and made in clay amphora vessels. The wine range's eye-catching labels feature linocuts designed by Kleine Zalze’s team members themselves. The latest Project Z range comprise a Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc, white blend, Grenache Noir, and Syrah. We sampled these new wines in a tutored tasting led by cellarmaster RJ Botha. He, along with Kleine Zalze's other winemakers and viticulturist, shared interesting insights into the five wines. For lunch, we enjoyed delicious dishes by chef Nic van Wyk with the Project Z wines.
