Since reimagining its visitor experience, seasonal art exhibitions in the La Motte Ateljee have become a highlight of the estate. This summer, La Motte presents a new exhibition: ROSE’D, opening 18 October 2025, inspired by the beauty of spring, summer, and the many forms of the rose. Guests are invited to step into the world of the rose,ts grace, delicacy, fleeting beauty, and seasonal charm, from buds to full bloom. The exhibition features rose-inspired art by acclaimed Heike Taschner Jeske, whose passion stems from her childhood and the influence of her father, renowned rose farmer Ludwig Taschner. It celebrates the longstanding collaboration between the La Motte and Taschner families and honours the two rose cultivars named for the Rupert family: the Hanneli Rupert and Berdine roses. Heike’s signature installation features an immersive, larger-than-life rose bursting from walls and blooming across the ceiling. Additional artworks include monoprints, drawings, watercolours, ceramics, and selected pieces from an Open Call themed “Flourish.”
