Blaauwklippen Vineyards suffered a devastating fire in April 2024, and the Manor House in particular was severely damaged. We lost a piece of history. Fortunately it has been painstakingly restored to its former glory in record time (by a considerably large team of experts), and we were fortunate to join the festivities last week, marking the re-launch of the Manor House, Jonkershuis and new modern Pool House. The attention to detail in the gardens, decor, aesthetics and design is very evident. Well done to the entire team. It is not easy to combine the old and the new tastefully and it is masterfully done.Blaauwklippen is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa and it was appropriate to celebrate it just before the country celebrates 367 years of winemaking on 2 February. The Blaauwklippen Manor is open for business, managed by the Newmark Hotel group, and already bookings are flooding in, so don't delay – book your stay or wedding soon!
