We raise a glass as Klawer Wine Cellars proudly marks its 70th harvest season in 2026, a milestone in a journey that began in 1956. Klawer started out distilling wine, which turned into winemaking, with Hanepoot among its earliest creations. Today, Klawer offers 23 wines, including six premium labels under the Villa Esposto range. The harvest season commenced around the third week of January. Farmers are delivering grapes daily, with cultivars such as Chenin Blanc, Pinotage, and Red Muscadel already arriving at the cellar. The fruit is showing excellent quality, promising that the 2026 vintages will be nothing short of exceptional.
