42 is the answer - so clearly the 42nd Cape Winemakers Guild Auction is going to be the pinnacle of all auctions! I attended the sit down Masterclass recently at the Westin in Cape Town. A fair increase in numbers of wine from 2025, now 58 rare wines and also 3 new members - Danie Steytler (Jnr), Graham Weerts from Capensis and Wim Truter from Meerlust, but Danie was the only one of the new members presenting. Good to see Yngvild there. It is always a brisk marathon getting through the wines and keep tabs of which wines one has already tasted! So many stand-out wines.
