Tweet-up during the Hands-on-Harvest festival at Rietvallei Estate in the Robertson "valley of wines and roses"

Rietvallei's Colyn, as a very fit person, was faster on foot than others on the vehicles.
At some point we were ready to process the grapes and have fun with the basics of winemaking.
Kobus explained in a great detail all important steps to be taken, once the grapes are delivered. It was a crash-course in winemaking.
It was very exciting to watch grape de-stemming process.
After the de-stemming the grapes were falling through.
It was a celebratory feel everywhere.
Our next step was stomping, in this case done by our charming guests.
Colyn was emptying the boxes filled with the sweet Muscadel 2011 grapes.
Our guests were chilling after all the action on Hands-on-Harvest 2011 at Rietvallei Estate...
Our hard-working guests were filling the trailers fast.
This could be an interesting fashion trend: bunches as earrings thought Ingrid :-)
Kim and Dion started picking up the succulent Muscadel berries at Rietvallei Estate Hands-on-Harvest festival.
Karen was ignoring a scorching heat and picking up sweet berries.
Dion spoke to Rietvallei Estate's vineyard manager.
Smiles were everywhere.
It was a sense of joy and jubilation during the harvest.

Our guests proudly displayed the fruits of their labour.
It was awesome to see the Muscadel grapes filling the boxes.
We started Tweet-up tasting with Rietvallei Estate's Sauvignon Blanc.
We had some very beautiful guests on Hands-on-Harvest 2011.

It was a gorgeous day in Robertson.
Our staff was ready to drive guests to the vineyard.
This caused a lot of happiness to the youngest visitors.

A little while later we had a Tweet-up tasting in the winery, where Kobus presented various wines produced at our estate.
All the time they were tweeting about wines we were tasting.
Ingrid was nosing very carefully this wine. Her joy was palpable.
Rietvallei's 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Rietvallei's great Bordeaux Blend Esteanna 2008.
We ended our tasting with Muscadel 1999 which was truly awesome wine.
