The Absa Top 10 Pinotage awards is hosted annually in August. The judges are selected and serve for a period of 5 years. Various tasting events are held and the Top 20 are giving various promotional opportunities. This year's judges were: Samarie Smith, Fred Viljoen, Solly Monyamane, Etienne Louw, and Jacques Steyn.
