The Pinotage Youth Development Academy (PYDA)'s Wine Practitioner Programme class of 2023 had their graduation on Friday 3 November 2023 at Van der Stel Hall in Stellenbosch. 48 Young people graduated with their diplomas that open the doors of the wine industry to them. The PYDA’s year-long programme develops talented young people from under-resourced areas, helping them gain employment and meaningful economic opportunities mainly within the wine industry. Founded in 2012, the PYDA’s programme combines personal development, work practicals, and technical skills including completion of the WSET Level 2 Diploma in Wines. Photos: Andrew Hagen
