In the past 30 years the Blaauwklippen Blending Competition has become an institution on the annual wine calendar among wine clubs. It is one of the oldest wine competitions in South Africa, and also the only competition where the consumer is the deciding factor of what gets bottled. As always, the triumphant blend will be sold under the Blaauwklippen Barouche label, with reference to the winning wine club on the back label.
