The 2015 harvest has been early throughout the South African Winelands - at least 2 weeks early. I visited Lourensford this morning to get a taste of the Mourvedre harvest - nearing the end of their red wines. The wine was howling and the team were hard at work filling the bins and getting the grapes into the cellar before it got too hot. This year is the first year that Lourensford have started night harvests. They do the Sauvignon Blanc at 5am when still lovely and cool!
