No longer Hidden in the valley

Hidden Valley is almost the last wine farm up the road past Ernie Els. Recently purchased from Dave Hidden by Capitec retired CEO Riaan Stassen, it has had a serious face-lift and the media and friends were treated to the launch on Tues 16th Feb.. Overture is still at the farm headed up by the inimitable Bertus Basson, but there is a new restaurant being built and the current restaurant will be transformed into a very South African open fire brasserie. The wines have new labels with the iconic mask developed by sculptor Willie Botha who now also operates from a studio on the farm. Riaan is excited with his new venture and told me he is expecting to turn a profit by 2017 on his wines! This is quite an impressive expectation and I wish them all the best.
