Moët et Chandon tasting at One&Only with Benoit Gouez

My experience of Champagne is rather limited and so I was delighted to receive an invitation to an intimate tasting where the Chef de Cave (CellarMaster) at Moët et Chandon - Benoit Gouez - chatted through some of their delicious bubblies.  I was surprised to find out that in fact there are over 240 villages who contribute grapes from their 1200ha to the Champagne house, and we tasted through their Non-Vintage Imperial range, their 2006 Vintage Champagne (they don't produce a vintage every year - only when it is up to scratch) and their Nectar Imperial - which we expected to be quite sweet but in fact was just gentle on the palate and delicious!
