Cellar workers from Vredendal came out in large numbers to attend the Winetech study groups. Double sessions were held in both Afrikaans and Xhosa on 26 and 27 July respectively. Topics included the use of use of oak barrels, the influence of wood on wine and compiling a maturation programme. Sessions concluded with a wine tasting.
