The veggie garden at Compagniesdrift is taking shape, from green peppers to butternuts, squashes and watermelons. Karin Beukes has taken up the challenge to ensure the veggies grow well and healthily, and is very ably assisted by retiree Hendrik (Oupa) Smith, who lives next door on Meerlust. The garden is the brainchild of Compagniesdrift CEO Ilse Ruthford, and slowly but surely shifting the palates of the community on Compagniesdrift.
