Pebbles Crystal Ball was simply gorgeous

The Pebbles Project celebrated turning 15 in style at their Crystal Ball on Friday 18th Oct at the gorgeous Laurent Venue on Lourensford Estate in Somerset West.

What a sublime venue, overlooking rolling lawns and vineyards against the backdrop of the magnificent blue mountains of the Hottentots Holland Mountain range. The weather certainly played along, allowing guests to mingle out on the patio being entertained by the talented young musicians from Parel Vallei High School. Many of the compositions played by the group were self-written, wonderful original pieces. Duncan Coombe, the PV Music teacher is such a strong influence and really makes  music come alive for the youth - exactly as music should be.

We were treated to incredible delectable delights throughout the evening, entertained by MC Jacky Molefe who also burst into song with her powerful voice.  Wonderful.  The auctioneer, Shane Wilmot, managed to raise almost R100 000 for Pebbles on the night - not too shabby an achievement in today's world.

The Pebbles Project make a huge difference in the lives of over 1400 children in the winelands, so you would be hard pressed to find another organisation as committed to changing lives.

wine.co.za is proud to be associated with such a credible organisation.  See more in our Spotlight pages on Pebbles HERE
