I have not really spent much time at Paul Cluver and at our recent visit, discovered their newly opened tasting room, and when we explored a bit further, found a wonderful vegetable garden and a large orchard of fig trees! Figs are one of my all time favourite fruits and it is the best thing to wander outside early in the morning to pick one's daily fig! Paul Cluver offers Mountain Bike trails too and the SALT restaurant which I believe is excellent. Another discovery in their new tasting room is the incredible table and furniture, which was honed and planed by the hands of the neurosurgeon himself, Dr Paul Cluver. Huge trees must have given way to these incredible organic tables. Beautiful they are. Take a trip out when next in Elgin and see for yourself.
