Winetech 2021 Study Groups 1 & 2 - Botrivier

The Winetech 2021 study groups 1 & 2 were presented during June in the participating areas by facilitators Charl Theron and Nomonde Kubheka.

Cellar assistants attending Afrikaans and multi-lingual sessions learned more about post-fermentations processes, i.e., lees contact, clarification of young wines with fining agents and filtration. The maturation, stabilisation and blending of wines, including bottling and packaging were of great interest to participants.

The Winetech 2021 Study group 3, which should have taken place during July, was postponed due to the new Covid level 4 regulations but will be presented at a later stage. Participating cellars will receive information about the adjusted Winetech study group programme.
