Erica and I went to visit the charming Muratie Wine Estate in Stellenbosch to see how it's going with their wine grape harvest. We took a trip to the vineyards to see what the vineyard team is up to – they were busy harvesting Grenache grapes which grow on the farm's higher mountain slopes. Next, we headed to the wine cellar, where we met Ruan Papendorf, the new assistant winemaker at Muratie. He gave us an update on the harvest, which is going well. He said that harvest started slightly earlier than usual, and that a lot of the white varieties has already been harvested, such as Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
