A Unique Tasting Experience at Bosman Hermanus

With its picturesque location and tranquil surroundings, the Bosman Hermanus Frame House offers a unique tasting experience. As you drive up the Hemel-en-Aarde pass, leaving the busy little town of Hermanus behind, you are greeted by the beauty of the indigenous fynbos and invigorating mountain air. The Frame House is nestled amongst this natural splendour, providing the perfect setting to indulge in a journey of flavours.

Whether sitting outside on the veranda or inside this natural wooden structure, great care has been taken to tread lightly on this delicate landscape. A peaceful place with bird calls and children’s laughter as they play on the wooden jungle gym or run about the garden.

You can choose from tasty tapas-style foods, flatbreads and salads to complement the wine tasting. Dogs are welcome outside, which is a fantastic bonus.

Hiking trials that meander through farmland, fynbos and renosterveld await to be discovered. If you are lucky, you may even see a duiker or porcupine, not to mention the diverse birdlife.

What I learnt: Bosman Hermanus has two charming wooden huts, affectionately called Erica and Vygie, that are nestled among the fynbos, providing a perfect blend of seclusion and breathtaking views of the nearby vineyards and mountains. These are ideal for special occasions, so next time you need a spot for an anniversary or even a proposal, remember these.
