Caroline's Red Wine Review, hosted annually by Caroline Rilemma of Caroline's Fine Wine Cellar, this year took place on Thursday evening, 24 July in the VIP Lounge of the DHL Stadium in Cape Town. The walk-around wine tasting event brought together 100 of the Cape's most acclaimed red wines, with each wine producer presenting just one exceptional wine. The variety of wines was incredible, proving, once more, the impressive diversity of the South African wine industry. Interestingly, guests seemed to gravitate toward the more niche red wines this year, with the areas reserved for varieties like Barbera, Cinsault, and Pinot Noir being the busiest.
