KWV has unveiled a beautifully reimagined look for its renowned tasting room in Paarl, the KWV Emporium, with a redesign that honours the brand’s rich history while embracing its innovative spirit. The KWV Emporium now features a more layered, soulful interior that blends tradition with contemporary elegance. I joined KWV for a memorable afternoon of exceptional wines and great company at the media launch event of this new space on Wednesday, 23 July 2025. We enjoyed brandy cocktails and Laborie Cap Classique as welcome drinks in the tasting room, followed by an immersive cellar tour. Then, KWV chief winemaker Justin Corrans led a wine tasting in the breathtaking Cathedral Cellar. We also hand lunch in the Cathedral Cellar: a delicious two-course feast paired with KWV wines. Dessert was served in the tasting room, along with wine and coffee. The KWV Emporium is open seven days a week, offering visitors a gateway into the world of award-winning wines, premium brandies, gins, liqueurs, and more – all under one roof.
