The South African winelands was awash with international guests last week, all descending on our beautiful country for Cape Wine 2025, an event held every 3 years, showcasing the best of South African wines. Having a captive international audience at their fingertips prompted the Chenin Blanc Association and the Old Vine Project to combine forces to host a memorable event at Stellenrust in Stellenbosch on a stunning, hot Spring day. A massive glass marquee was set up against the Stellenbosch mountains, and hot and cold food stations provided delicious traditional fare like waterblommetjies, curry and steak. The magnificent harvest table was a highlight to accompany the top quality wines. The Standard Bank Top Chenins were available to taste, as well as the Top Old Vine wines. What a feast for the senses!
