Hartenberg Chardonnay Harvest 2026

Early in February 2026, Hartenberg marked a milestone harvest. The Mackenzie family celebrated 40 years of custodianship; regenerative viticulturist Wilhelm entered his 20th harvest; and head winemaker Reynie stepped into his first on Hartenberg soil.

Every grape is harvested by hand, a deliberate commitment to quality and care. Chardonnay is picked in the cool of early morning, while mist still lies low in the valley, helping preserve the wine’s natural freshness and finesse. In the cellar, the fruit is carefully hand sorted, ensuring that only the finest grapes continue their journey from vineyard to bottle.

This harvest reflects both continuity and renewal – experience guiding new energy – rooted in a deep respect for the land and the rhythms that shape each vintage.
