The Durbanville Wine Valley came together on Thursday evening, 12 March 2025 to host their annual Tasting Under the Stars events at their respective wineries. It was a celebratory evening as the sun set and revealed a canopy of stars, toasting to the harvest in the Durbanville winelands. Participating wineries of the Durbanville Wine Valley kept their tasting room doors open till 21h00. Visitors enjoyed curated wine tastings, delicious platters, wine pairings and live music, with glasses clinking to Durbanville's latest cool-climate offerings. Judy and I were invited to join in and partake in the festivities at D'Aria Winery and Maastricht Wine Estate. At D'Aria, we were seated on the tasting room deck overlooking the dam, where we enjoyed a bottle of the D'Aria Blush Rosé along with a cheese and charcuterie platter. Next, we visited Maastricht, which was bustling with activity. We enjoyed glasses of the Maastricht Sauvignon Blanc paired with bitterballen as we took in the live music and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.
